1969 Jeep J3000 "Retro Mod"

A Classic truck built for modern adventures!


This build started out as a 1969 Jeep J3000 (3/4 Ton) truck from Wyoming and has been engineered to be a vehicle that is equally capable of being a grocery getter / cars and coffee cruiser while also conquering some of the hardest 4x4 trails in the southwest (and it can drive itself to them very well!)

This has been an extensive build focused on drivability with the goal to tackle the hardest 4x4 trails in the south west - which it has proven itself capable of! Much more info available to the buyer in the form of a complete build log, but a summary is provided below:
 

• -The frame has been completely boxed prior to sanding, and rust reformative painting
• -2004 GM L59 5.3L fuel injected motor swap (fully registered and emissions exempt due to year of body manufacture, 1969)
• -The motor was re-dressed with new seals and sensors where needed
• -New aluminum radiator, custom fit to stock opening on truck
• -New medium length tube headers and complete custom stainless exhaust with resonator and muffler
• -1994 NV4500 5 speed manual transmission with ultra low 1st year (6.34:1), rebuilt with new input shaft and bearing, new seals
• -NP241C 4WD transfer case, rebuilt with new seals
• -2008 F250 1 ton axles, Dana 60 front and Sterling 10.5 rear
• -Rear OEM electronic locker from Ford
• -Front electronic locker available to buyer, included in price (not yet installed)
• -14" coil over shock with remote reservoir up front (FOA brand)
• -Front suspension features heavy duty long radius arms
• -14" travel shock rear with new 63" GM Leaf springs and anti-wrap torque arm
• -New custom tailgate with working hardware
• -Custom Roll tonneau cover for the truck bed
• -New LED retro style headlights
• -Custom mounted MOPAR Heavy Duty steering box (from modern Ram 2500/3500)
• -37" 8 ply off road m/t tires mounted on 17" steel rims, full size spare included
• -Custom road-side tool kit to change a flat tire
• -20 gallon electronic fuel injection rated road legal gas tank with relocated filler
• -12,000lb rated winch, custom mounted with hidden electronics
• -Custom high clearance front bumper

This vehicle is fully registered and thanks to the age of the body - it is a classic car so it is very cheap to register (5 year registration for the price of 1 year). I drive it a few times every week to run errands or pick things up in it's spacious bed.
